A Letter to My Favorite Author

Dear Bb. Mia,

I hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to write you this letter because your books have been living rent-free in my heart (and honestly, in my emotional damage) for so long. Every time I finish one of your stories, I end up staring at the ceiling like, “Why did she hurt me like that?” And yet, I always come back, because your writing is so real, so raw, and so beautifully heartbreaking.

But this time… I’m begging you… please write a book that doesn’t have a tragic ending. Please?

I think my heart deserves a break. I can’t keep getting attached to your characters only for them to suffer or break my soul at the end. I adore your writing so much, but I would really love to see you create a story that ends gently—something soft, hopeful, and healing.

If you ever decide to write a book like that—a story with warmth and a happy or at least peaceful ending—I promise I’ll be the first one to read it. Thank you for all the emotions you’ve made me feel (even the painful ones 😭). Your stories have helped me escape, reflect, and even understand myself more.

Still your loyal but emotionally

wrecked reader,

Ajaneeeee
