Back in Time

If I could go back in time,

I’d walk through memories like quiet rooms.

I’d see myself younger, softer,

Not knowing what the world would soon become.

I’d see old smiles I almost forgot,

People who once held my whole heart.

Their voices would sound warm again,

Like a song I thought I lost.

I’d watch moments I didn’t know were special,

Simple days, small joys,

Little things that felt ordinary

But now feel priceless.

Maybe I’d feel a little sad,

Seeing how fast everything changed.

But I’d also feel grateful,

Knowing those moments shaped who I am now.

If I could go back in time,

I would not stay.

I would simply look,

Breathe it in,

And carry the warmth with me

As I step forward again.
