My concept paper reflection.

Getting this concept paper ready was much tougher than we thought, right from the start. We knew we wanted to study the big change between online and face-to-face Korean class—something we really felt in our Foreign Language 1 course—but finding a good survey to use was a nightmare. We looked everywhere and just couldn't find one that fit our exact needs, which meant we had to change a lot of things in the paper itself. All those changes and revisions felt like a big push, but they were important. It showed us that good research means being ready to stop and fix things when they're not working, and we had to rely on each other to get past that first hard bump.

The project only worked because my groupmates and I put in the effort together. We made sure to share the work, but we also worked on connecting our pieces so the whole paper made sense. For my own part, I tried my best to link everything I wrote to the main idea of our research capsule. I made sure it wasn't just my section, but that it fit perfectly with what everyone else was doing. I talked to my groupmates a lot to ask questions and figure out how to solve problems or make a part stronger. That back-and-forth chat was key; it made sure that when we finally put the paper together, it looked like one smooth project, not just a bunch of separate ideas.

In the end, this paper was a huge learning moment about working with a team under pressure. We had a great reason for choosing the topic—we genuinely experienced the difference between online and in-person learning—and that kept us motivated even when we wanted to give up on the survey hunt. The biggest takeaway for me is that when things get tough, talking things through with your team is the best way to succeed. I feel proud that we stuck with it and created a good paper, especially after feeling like we were stuck for a long time at the beginning.
