My Mom♥️
If I Could Be Anyone in the World, It Would Be My Mom.
There are days I catch myself staring at the people around me — celebrities with their glitz, leaders with their power, artists with their creativity — and I think, who would I want to be? But the answer always comes back the same, clear and unwavering: my mom.
People often say they’d choose someone who has it all — wealth, fame, success. But to me, "having it all" looks different. It looks like the hands that held me when I cried as a baby, the voice that sang me to sleep even when she was tired, the heart that chose to put me first before anything else. She gave me something no one else in the world could ever give me: she brought me into this world.
That act alone feels like the greatest gift of all. It’s not just about giving birth — it’s about the courage it took to carry me, the sacrifice to nurture me, and the love to shape me into who I am today. She didn’t just give me life; she gave me a reason to live it fully, with kindness and strength that I learn from her every single day.
Maybe being my mom doesn’t sound like the most "exciting" choice to some. But to me, it’s the most meaningful one. Because in her, I see the truest form of heroism — the kind that happens quietly, behind the scenes, in every small gesture of love that makes a life worth living.
And right now, as I sit here typing this in Impasugong, I can hear her in the kitchen making her famous adobo — the smell that always feels like home. I hope one day I can be that for someone too: a safe place, a warm meal, and the greatest gift of all — a chance at life.
