Sabbath Visit

Last Sabbath felt calm from the moment we woke up,

a soft kind of morning that made us move slower,

as if God Himself was reminding us

to breathe and just be.

Our family headed out together,

not for a big trip,

but simply to visit another SDA church,

a quiet outing,

but one that felt meaningful in its own way.

When we arrived,

the place felt welcoming at first glance,

warm smiles, open doors,

and that familiar hum of people greeting each other

with “Happy Sabbath” like a blessing.

Inside, the hymns rose gently,

pages turning, voices blending,

and I felt that peaceful Sabbath stillness

settle in my heart.

The sermon was simple but grounding,

the kind that makes you reflect

without even trying.

After the service,

we talked with a few members,

shared small stories,

and took our time before leaving,

our family together, unhurried,

just enjoying the quiet joy of the day.

It wasn’t a grand outing,

no big events or loud moments,

just a Sabbath visit,

but it left us feeling lighter,

closer,

and grateful for a day

spent in God’s presence

and each other’s company.
